Hello and welcome to my website.
My name is Matthias Tilsner and I am currently a Ph.D. candidate for Computer Science at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. This web page aims to provide a bunch of information:
- Personal information about myself can be obtained from my curriculum vitae. This page simultaneously serves as my blog. The most recent posts will always be displayed at the bottom of pages they are related to. Should you be interested in older posts, head for the archives.
- Students and collegues might appreciate the “work” section. It contains information material from my research, dissertation, and work as a TA. If you are a student and looking for course data or a researcher interested in the same areas as i am: this is where you’ll want to go.
- The “leisure” section contains resources on recreational activities, most notably on literature, movies, music, and games.
Should you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to send me a mail. I always welcome feedback.
Now be invited to have a look around. Speak, friend, and enter.
Klingon Dilbert
The following is posted outside an office in the Department of Computer Science at Memorial University. I really like it. The Klingon approach certainly takes off alot of pressure. Even though I would hate to rely on Klingon software products.
The Name of the Wind
Patrick Rothfuss’ debut novel is a celebration of literature and fantasy. The fascinating and thrilling story of the young magican Kvothe takes you on a journey through the mystical Four Corners of Civilization. Being technically a coming-of-age story, The Name of the Wind is the first of an aspired three books that approach epic fantasy from a whole different angle.
