Taking a Deep Breath
A wise man once told me that everybody needs to find his live-work balance. It is true: nothing enhances productivity, concentration, and happiness as much as a few moments of dissipation. I am never as efficient as when I’m listening to music, just took a long shower, or after an evening out with friends. Work and leisure seem to be my 陰 and my 陽.
“I was early taught to work as well as play,
My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.”
John D. Rockefeller
Naturally, everybody will have interests of his own. I am particulary interested in
- literature
- music
- film
- games
- food
Maybe you can find some inspiration.
Klingon Dilbert
The following is posted outside an office in the Department of Computer Science at Memorial University. I really like it. The Klingon approach certainly takes off alot of pressure. Even though I would hate to rely on Klingon software products.
The Name of the Wind
Patrick Rothfuss’ debut novel is a celebration of literature and fantasy. The fascinating and thrilling story of the young magican Kvothe takes you on a journey through the mystical Four Corners of Civilization. Being technically a coming-of-age story, The Name of the Wind is the first of an aspired three books that approach epic fantasy from a whole different angle.
